The Boggart - Susan Cooper, Omar Rayyan This isn't an amazing book, and it certainly didn't interest me the way that many of Cooper's books do, but I liked it. I read it when I was younger, and I thought it was charming, without being condescending. That's a rare gift in children's books nowadays.

There's little to no action in it, and it's not long, so character development is not its strongest point, but it's a very human, sweet little book, and I've never read anything quite like it. I enjoyed it, which makes it special.
