Slam Dunk, Tome 8

Slam Dunk, Vol. 8 - Takehiko Inoue

There was plenty of Akagi and Anzai awesomeness in this one, and Kogure adorableness. Kogure is such a sweetheart. He's my baby. I get furious when he's upset or hurt, and I want to hit things. I'm overprotective - somebody stop me.

I don't want to feel sympathy for Mitsui even after hearing his sob story, because he punched Kogure just for being nice to him. My opinion of Mitsui at the moment is incredibly low - he seems like a petty, vengeful crybaby and a sore loser. I hope that changes.

Wait, is Kogure my favorite character now? I don't know. Maybe he's tied with Haruko for my favorite. Maybe she just hasn't been around enough in recent volumes, and she'll pull ahead again when she comes back...

Anyway. 100% awesomeness. I don't think I've ever said that Anzai is awesome, but he is. And I love seeing how ridiculous Akagi was, when he first started. Now I know why he treats Sakuragi the way he does.

I love these characters so much it's ridiculous.
