Slam Dunk, Tome 6
Finally, the practice match is over. It was amazing. I'm actually glad that Shohoku didn't win - I think it would've been slightly unrealistic, since Ryonan was so good. But they did put up one heck of a fight, and I love that. It was perfect. If it had been any other way I'd have been disappointed, but I can't be unhappy about this. (And maybe, just maybe, losing will be good for Sakuragi's ego? I doubt it, but I can wish.
Although if he lost or tamed his ego, he wouldn't be quite the same. Hm. We'll have to see.)
But really, how can you not love this? I mean, look at this page:
And this is how they introduce the new guy. Well, this and a bunch of fistfighting. I didn't think anyone could possibly be more trouble than Sakuragi, but now I'm reconsidering. This basketball team must be cursed. Or blessed. Maybe both, but I think I'm leaning a little more toward cursed...Akagi had better be the best darned captain ever, to keep some of these guys in line.
Either way, I'm sure everything will be amazing. As usual.
