Storm Front - Jim Butcher This was a really entertaining book. The story was a bit unoriginal, but Harry Dresden was easily cool enough to carry it off. He's knocked down a fair number of my favorite characters (not too many, but hey, I have a lot of favorites) to squeeze into a place himself.

Some of the humor was very well-placed, the magic was incredibly well done--although I was screaming at Harry in my head when he couldn't figure a few things out . . . the storms, for example--and I love the fact that there were actually monsters in it. So often in these types of books you get the 1 token monster, usually right at the end of the book. Storm Front gets extra points for having giant creepy crawlies, evil toad demons, EVIL (haha!) vampires, and an array of fae and spirit-things.

A very cool book. I think I'll read the next one. Yes, I think I just might . . .
